I admit the song is lacking. But really hoping that the rest of the new album (when it comes out) will have something more rocking.

@White Lies opinion. To me they tend to get boring and monotonous real fast. I prefer Chapel Club as the supreme band that, as many say, is strongly influenced by Joy Division. In case you haven't heard about them, check em out!

I thought about leaving the Black Keys off my list because the street date was Dec 6, but I had the album a week before that, and was jamming it none stop. I just couldn't leave it off for next year. The Strokes album was a tale of two EPs, it seemed. The first half of the album is really good, and the second half of the album is really bad.

A nice list. Grouplove was on my best of 2011 list. Didn't get The Black Keys until days after I posted my list, but it's been a good listen so far. Florence showed up under Tiffany's Christmas tree, so haven't had a change to listen to it all the way through. A few of the tracks from Cage The Elephant sophomore album sounded great live at the Foo Fighters show in October.

I expected The Strokes new album to get more airplay, but I didn't hear it all that often.

Very nice write up. That line up was killer. I loved your Foster The People write up. Having seen them at Urban Lounge and picking their album "Torches" as my top favorite for 2011, I can say that I agree they have proven themselves to be a well known band with many listeners.

I can't get enough of these guys. If you still need a copy of their CD, it's only $5 on Amazon and totally worth it. Can't wait for these guys to come back through Colorado!
